Trojan bowling had a strong showing Friday 12-27-19 at Northway Lanes at the Orchard View invite.  The girls and boys both finished in second place, and both losing to Ravenna.  The girls qualified 3rd and were led by Jessica Plichta who finished second overall individually with games of 174 and 171.  Kennadi Dykstra finished fourth with 177, and 150.  Avery Wilks chipped in with a 268 series.  In the semi final match consisting on two baker games the ladies defeated Kent City in a close match 249 to 243.  In the championship match the ladies fell to Ravenna 337 to 268.

The boys qualified in second place behind Ravenna.  Jon Wildey 358, and Cameron Weaver 355 led the way for boys.  Zander Leonard was a huge surprise from the Trojan bench throwing a 239  in qualifying to help get the boys advance to match play.  Zander continued to throw many strikes in the anchor position during the  baker games.   They boys defeated Oakridge 450 to 309 in the semi final round with a 250 baker game.  In the championship match against Ravenna, the boys started to slow with a 149 game and eventually lost 358 to 351. 

Next Saturday 01-04-20 will be the Fruitport Invitational at Northway Lanes at 11:00 am.
