Congratulations to the Fruitport tennis team who will be represented at the state finals again this year. This is the 6th year in a row that the tennis team will be represented at the state tournament. 

Regional play on Friday in Holland found 1 doubles Lynnea Olson and Lucia Sampedro, 2 doubles Jennah Wierengo and Auebre Johnson and 3 singles Rachel Hines reaching the semi finals in some exciting play.

Reaching the finals of regionals were 1 singles Hope Busscher and 2 singles Grace Sweet. Both played great matches throughout the day with Grace winning the regional title this year while Hope fell short in her finals match after a grueling grudge match in the semis. Overall the team was one point short of taking second. 

With her finish at regionals Hope Busscher will travel to Midland to play in the state finals June 3rd and represent Fruitport once again there. Please congratulate the tennis team members when you see them on a great finish and year.
