Fruitport makes quick work of Tri County in regionals 17-1.

Fruitport jumped out to an early 5-0 lead after one inning and kept the foot on the gas the rest of the way to a 17-1 win.  The Trojans got rolling when Aiden Vela reached on a hit by pitch and a single by Gavin Reames.  Cody Matuz reached on a infield single and the trojans scored 2 on a throwing error.  The Trojans went on to score 5 times in the inning aided by back to back singles by Mayson Whitlow and Brady French.  Cody Matuz took the mound and was able to shut down the Vikings going 3 innings striking out 2 with 0 walks.  Reames and Matuz combined to no hit the Vikings as they scored an unearned run after a throwing error and a wild pitch.  Leading Hitters for Fruitport were Reames with 4 hits and 2 RBI's, Matuz with 3 hits and 3 RBI's.  Whitlow and French ended their day with 2 hits a piece and French had 3 Rbi's/
