Both teams were strong on the mound on Friday, but Reeths-Puffer was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Fruitport Trojans Varsity on Friday. Luke Mitchell started the game for Fruitport Trojans Varsity and recorded 12 outs. Fruitport Trojans Varsity lost despite out-hitting Reeths-Puffer five to three. One bright spot for Fruitport Trojans Varsity was a single by Luke Hronek in the first inning. Mitchell toed the rubber for Fruitport Trojans Varsity. He went four innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and striking out two. Jerod Arvey threw two and a third innings out of the bullpen. Nick Kleinhecksel led Fruitport Trojans Varsity with two hits in three at bats.
