Fruitport sweeps the OK Blue double header from Coopersville. Fruitport Honored Long Time Athletic Director Ken Erny with special jerseys and the man himself threw out the first pitch. In Game 1 Fruitport took the win 10-2. Cody Matuz got the win on the mound going 7 innings striking out 9 and allowing 2 hits and 1 earned run. Leading hitters for Fruitport were Matuz with 4 hits and 3 Rbi's, and Austin Wilson with 2 hits.
In Game 2 it was a tight one all the way through. The score was 1-0 Fruitport till the top of the 7th inning when Coopersville tied it 1-1. Fruitport Loaded the bases and Gavin Reames laid down the squeeze to score the winning run 2-1. Austin wilson went 7 innings striking out 9 and allowing 3 hits and 1 earned run. Leading hitters for Fruitport were Aiden Vela with 2 hits and both Aaron Sander and Reames with Rbi's.
