HOLLAND CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL: 4
The Trojans earned an 8-4 victory over host Holland Christian. The Trojan bats heated up late after trailing 4-3 to take the lead 8-4 in the top of th 5th. Cody Matuz went 5 innings allowing 6 hits and striking out 11. Leading hitters for Fruitport were Matuz with a 2 run home run, Gavin Reames and Ryan Bosch both with 2 hits.
Game 2 was called due to dark ness after 4 innings and will be completed on thursday the trojans were up 9-0.
