Fruitport Trojans watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 3-2 loss to Allendale Varsity Falcons on Tuesday.  Allendale Varsity Falcons took the lead on a in the first inning.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Allendale Varsity Falcons pitchers struck out nine, while Fruitport Trojans sat down ten.

Ryan Bosch started the game for Fruitport Trojans. Bosch went seven innings, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out ten.

Brady French, Bosch, and Braxton Ward each collected one hit to lead Fruitport Trojans.

In Game 2

Tuesday's game against Allendale Varsity Falcons was a heartbreaker for Fruitport Trojans, as they lost the lead late in a 3-2 defeat.  The game was tied at two with Allendale Varsity Falcons batting in the top of the sixth when Allendale singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Allendale Varsity Falcons pitchers struck out six, while Fruitport Trojans sat down six.

Allendale Varsity Falcons fired up the offense in the first inning, when Christian Kennedy induced Hunter Scholma to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Fruitport Trojans evened things up at one in the bottom of the first inning when Ryan Bosch doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Kennedy started the game for Fruitport Trojans. The pitcher went four and a third innings, allowing two runs on one hit and striking out six.  Tommie Andersen threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Bosch went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead Fruitport Trojans in hits.
