Fruitport came out swinging to beat Unity 4-3 Fruitport who struggled to put the ball in play Tuesday came out in the bottom half of the first swinging. Ryan Bosch got it started with a 2 out double and Christian Kennedy knocked him in but was thrown out stretching it to extra bases. In the inning the outs were well hit and a good sign for the Trojans. In the second Inning Ricky Wiggins led off with a double to right followed by Thomas Anderson with another double and he was scored on by Trevor Rusnaks single to left. Andrew Spyke chip in a single as well. Unity scratched back but the difference was Bosch’s solo homer in the 5th. Avery Lambers went the complete game with 9 strike outs 1 walk and 5 hits. The Trojans totaled 10 hits on the day. Anderson and Bosch had multi hit games. It was good to see our boys aggressive in the box and put some good swings on pitches. We need to carry it over into next week. If we can do that we will start rolling. We got another great outing on the mound from our pitching staff.
