Fruitport lost to Reeths Puffer on the road Friday night by a score of 57-43. Leading in scoring for the Trojans was Ethan Flores with 11 points. Luke Mitchell added 7, Marcelo Conklin and Gavin Fisher scored 6, Cole Hoffman and Matt Lord scored 3 a piece, while Rico Jones, Hunter Gannon, and Cam Schultz each scored 2. Fruitport cut the Rockets lead in the 4th quarter to 7 before Reeths Puffer was able to put the game away.

Coach Erny felt that despite the loss, the game had a lot of positives for the Trojans. "Reeths Puffer is a very good team and at the top of the conference right now. We did a better job tonight with taking care of the ball and cleaning up the boards. These things helped us not only stay in the game but fight back to get within range in the 4th. Credit to the Rockets for being able to put the game away. Good teams are able to finish possessions, quarters, and games in the best way, and they did that tonight."

The Trojans fall to 2-8 and 0-4 in the OK Black. Up next for the Trojans is Jenison on the road on Tuesday night at 7PM.
