Fruitport defeated Fruitport Calvary Christian on Saturday night by a score of 61-38. The game was tied 8-8 after the first quarter. The Trojans then picked up the pressure and grew a halftime lead of 25-15. After three Fruitport extended its lead 43-29. Fruitport played much better after the first quarter and gained important contributions from every player. Rico Jones led the team with the hustle and effort plays, grabbing 8 offensive rebounds and taking 2 charges. He also finished the game with 7 points. Leading the Trojans in scoring was sophomore Gavin Fisher, who pumped in 20 points in another very efficient scoring night. Luke Mitchell added 10, Jones had 7, Hunter Gannon had 6, Flynn Stonecypher scored 5, Cam Schultz and Ethan Flores each scored 4, Adam Eitniear had 3, and Logan Manciu scored 2 points. 

Up next for the Trojans is a rare Monday game, which is a rescheduled conference game at Jenison. Freshman play at 4, JV at 5:30, and Varsity starts at 7PM. Fruitport improves to 3-11 on the year.
