SPRING LAKE HIGH SCHOOL: 56
Fruitport and Spring Lake battled all night in a great environment at Fruitport High School. The Lakers and Trojans were tied after the 3rd quarter, and the game wasn't decided until the final minute. The Trojans fought all night and were much improved from their first game of the year. The difference was at the free throw line, as the Lakers went 15-22, including 8-11 down the stretch in the 4th. The Trojans left too many points at the line, going 4-12. Scoring for Fruitport was Gavin Fisher with 16, Marcelo Conklin with 14, Luke Mitchell with 8, Ethan Flores with 5, Flynn Stonecypher with 3, and Logan Manciu with 2.
All in all it was major step in the right direction as the Trojans look to get in the win column next Tuesday night at home vs Muskegon Catholic. Game time is 7:30 PM.
