The Trojans defeated Comstock Park on Tuesday night 61-53. The game was tied 29-29 at the half and Fruitport led 42-39 after the third quarter. The Trojans were able to pull away in the fourth as they took care of the ball and hit most of their free throws down the stretch. 

Leading the Trojans was Gavin Fisher, who ended up with 23 pts, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Luke Mitchell added 14 points. Rico Jones sparked Fruitport with his gritty play, scoring 9 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Jones also took three charges in the game to help turn the tide in the second half. Marcelo Conklin added 7 points, Ethan Flores scored 4, and Adam Eitniear and Logan Manciu each scored 2 points. 

Fruitport was able to keep their turnover count to a season-low 4 turnovers, while also forcing 14 turnovers from Comstock Park. 

Fruitport improves to 10-9 on the season and has one more regular season game, at home vs. Whitehall on Thursday, March 4th. Fruitport will honor its seniors, as they will play their final home game of their careers on Thursday. Then next Monday, March 9th, Fruitport will travel to Oakridge to take on Oakridge in first round of the District Tournament. Monday's district game will start at 7:30 PM at Oakridge.
