FRUITPORT CALVARY CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS: 68
Fruitport won its first game of the season by defeating Fruitport Calvary Christian on Saturday night by a score of 77-68. Calvary led 18-14 after the first. The Trojans stormed back in the 2nd and took a 41-36 led into the halftime break. After three quarters, Fruitport extended their lead to 64-43.
Fruitport scored a season high 77 points and were led by sophomore Bode Anspach with 25. Senior Carter Golden had 11, junior Ryan Laus scored 9, sophomore Paschal Jolman added 8. Senior Tyrone Rule Jr. scored 7 points, and Freshman Ryan Mitchell scored 6.
The Trojans are back to conference play on Tuesday, as they travel to Allendale.
