SPRING LAKE HIGH SCHOOL: 64
Fruitport fell to Spring Lake 64-48 on Friday night. After trailing 31-19 at the half, the Trojans played a strong third quarter to cut the Lake lead and only trail 44-40 going into the fourth quarter. Leading in scoring for Fruitport was sophomore Bode Anspach with 17 pts. Sophomores Collin and Paschal Jolman each scored 6 pts, along with junior Gavin Reames who also added 6 pts.
It was senior night for the Trojans. Seniors Tyrone Rule Jr, Ryan Wagner, Parker Wood, and Carter Golden were honored along with their families before the game.
Fruitport turns around and plays Spring Lake again on Tuesday in the first round of districts. Game is at Spring Lake and starts at 7:00 PM.
