COOPERSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL: 52
Fruitport fell in a tight battle at home vs. Coopersville Friday night, 52-45. The game was tied 37 all going into the fourth quarter. Turnovers in the 4th leading to run outs for Coopersville's quick guards proved to be the difference in the final frame. Free throw shooting was also a large disrepancy, as the Trojans went just 3 of 6 and the Broncos finished 15 of 24 from the line. Leading Fruitport in scoring were seniors Gavin Reames and Ryan Laus, each scoring 12 points. Paschal Jolman and Andrew Spyke each scored 6, Bode Anspach added 5, and Collin Jolman scored 4.
The Trojans fall to 4-4 and 0-3 in the OK Blue. Fruitport has two road gamees in-conference next week, traveling to Holland Christian on Tuesday and Hamilton on Friday night.
