Fruitport won their first OK-Blue game, defeating Allendale 65-50 at home on Friday night. Leading the Trojans was junior Paschal Jolman, with 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 steals. Jolman also went a perfect 5-5 from the line down the stretch. Junior Bode Anspach scored 16 points and added 5 assists and 3 steals. Junior Andrew Spyke scored 11 points to go along with 9 rebound. Seniots Ryan Laus and Gavin Reames added 10 points and 8 points, respectively. Collin Jolman added 3 points and 6 rebounds. 

"WInning in this conference has obviously proven to be difficult for us since joining last year. It feels great to get the monkey off our back. We made winning plays throughout the game tonight, things like handling their pressure and making our free throws late in the game. Allendale didn't shoot particularly well for their standards, so on a different night this game could have gone differently, but we earned this one. We are looking forward to getting better and continuing to challenge our conference opponents this year." 

Up next for Fruitport is a home game vs cross-town rival, Spring Lake on Friday, February 4th. Fruitport improves to 5-7 (1-6) on the year.
