The Fruitport Trojans defeated Allendale on the road on Friday night by a score of 61-57. Allendale led 14-11 after one quarter, then the game was tied 26-26 at the half. Fruitport edged Allendale 41-39 after three quarters before extending their lead to as much as 9 points in the fourth, before setttling into the 61-57 victory. 

Leading for Fruitport was senior Ryan Laus, junior Bode Anspach, and junior Paschal Jolman, each scoring 14 points. Laus hit several mid-range jumpers as well as took a big charge in the game. Anspach knocked in four three pointers, and Jolman took over in the fourth quarter, scoring 10 of his 14 points in the final frame. Also scoring for Fruitport was Collin Jolman with 7, while Gavin Reames and Andrew Spyke each added 6. 

The Trojans improve to 7-12 on the year and move into a three-way with Hamilton and Allendale in the standings at 3-11 in the OK Blue. Up next for Fruitport is Montague at home on Thursday, March 3rd. This will be the final regular season game for the Trojans as well as senior night. The District tournament starts the following Monday at Spring Lake.
