WHITEHALL HIGH SCHOOL: 0
Fruitport defeated visiting Whitehall by a score of 6-0 on Saturday night. The Trojans jumped out to a 5-0 first half lead and tacked one on in the second half. Fruitport received three goals from Bode Anspach while Sean Gieske, Zach Schaefer, and Ryan Laus also found the net for the Trojans. Elijah Aldridge, Anspach, and Schaefer also assisted on goals.
Coach Hazekamp credited Brady Brown, Noah Fehler, Jaxon Deneen, Tyler Kelly and Jackson Smith-Upson with great defensive play throughout the game.
Justin Laus recorded the shutour in net while saving two shots for the Trojans who outshot Whitehall 13-2 on the night. Fruitport improves to 3-0 on the season and travels to Coopersville on Monday as they open OK Blue play.
