Fruitport defeated visiting Coldwater by a score of 5-0 on Saturday in a non conference tilt. The Trojans jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first half as Jorge Burgos-Yack connected with Isaac Vandermolen to take a 1-0 lead. In the second half, Fruitport exploded for four goals as Jackson Rebone found the net three times and Elijah Aldridge wrapped up the scoring adding a tally. Ryan Mitchell, Burgos-Yack, and Vandermolen added assists.
Justin Laus posted a shutout in net for the Trojans recording three saves. Fruitport improves to 3-2 and will host Allendale as they open OK Blue conference play on Monday.
