NORTH MUSKEGON HIGH SCHOOL: 0
Fruitport defeated visiting North Muskegon by a score of 4-0 in non conference soccer action on Thursday night. The Trojans got on the board early as Sean Gieske found the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead. Minutes later, Elijah Aldridge struck from distance to extend the lead to 2-0. Brady Brown scored off an Aldridge assist to push the lead to 3-0 heading into the half. In the second half, Taylen Acocks scored off a Bode Anspach assist to cap off the scoring.
The Trojans out shot the Norse 13-3 on the night as Justin Laus recorded the shutout for the Trojans. Coach Hazekamp recognized Jackson Smith-Upson, Sam Krueger, Isaiah Packard, Noah Fehler, and Logan Tromp with a solid defensive game while Jorge Burgos Yack and Braylon Marshall were key contributors in the midfield. The Trojans improve to 5-3 overall on the season.
