Fruitport defeated Allendale 2-1 in OK Blue action on Monday night. After a scoreless first half, the Falcons scored to get in front. The Trojans countered moments later as Jackson Rebone finished a ball from Bode Anspach. Five minutes later, Rebone struck again off a Jorge Burgos-Yack assist to push the Trojans in front and secure the victory.
Justin Laus recorded seven saves for the Trojans. Coach Hazekamp credited Jackson Smith-Upson, Noah Fehler, Brady Brown, Sam Krueger, and Elijah Aldridge with great defensive play. Hazekamp also credited Anspach, Burgos-Yack and Rebone with solid attacking play.
The Trojans return to action on Tuesday as they travel to Covenant Christian.
