Fruitport went on the road and defeated Whitehall 9-1 in a nonconference tilt on Wednesday night. The Trojans received an incredible performance from sophomore Jorge Burgos Yack who scored six goals on the night. Isaac Vandermolen, Grade Anspach, and Ryan Mitchell also added goals for the Trojans. Tallying assists for the Trojans were Braylon Marshall and Jaxon Stone.
Logan Werschem recorded two saves in net for the Trojans who move to 5-0 on the season. Fruitport takes the field again next Monday as they host Hamilton in an OK Blue contest.
Coach Hazekamp was proud of Burgos Yack noting, "It was a great night for Jorge. Six goals in a single game ties the Fruitport program record. His pace and decision making was tremendous tonight. Very proud of him"
