In a battle of state ranked teams, Fruitport went on the road and tied Reeths Puffer in a non conference tilt on Saturday afternoon. The Trojans generated quality opportunities in both halves but were unable to find the back of the net. 
 

Logan Werschem recorded four saves in net for Fruitport who outshot the Rockets by a 9-4 clip. Fruitport has a quick turnaround as they host Spring Lake on Monday. 
 

Coach Hazekamp was happy with his team's overall effort noting, "I thought our intensity and focus was there for 80 minutes today. We had players step in and step up which allowed us to compete with a really good Reeths Puffer team. I thought we generated some really quality scoring opportunities but just could not find the net. Overall, really proud of the boys."

Hazekamp credited Braylon Marshall, Jorge Burgos Yack, Issaac Vandermolen for great play in the offensive end and Brady Brown, Braxton Ward, Elijah Aldridge and Sam Krueger with great play in the back.
