HOLLAND CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL: 0
Fruitport tied Holland Christian 0-0 in the OK Blue Conference Tournament Championship game on Monday night. In a highly contested game, both sides were unable to find the net. With the tie, the Trojans finish in second place in the OK Blue.
Logan Werschem had a tremendous night in net posting 12 saves and recording his 9th consecutive shutout. Fruitport moves to 14-2-3 on the season. The Trojans begin district play Thursday as they host Muskegon at home.
Coach Hazekamp was proud ot the team's effort noting, "to be able to come into Holland Christian and get a result is a positive for us heading into district play.. We had some special efforts tonight from a work ethic standpoint that allowed us to compete. The backline of Ward, Krueger, Brown and Packard, goalkeeper Logan Werschem and Davis Johnson really stick out as individuals who had great nights for us."
