Trojans come up with a big win in the first round of districts beating the wildcats of Montague 29 to 25.
Fruitport jumped out to an early 10 point lead and finished the first q leading 10 to 2. Montague cut into that lead during the second q but the Trojans still held on to 15 to 10 lead at the half. Buckets were tough to come by all night and after the third q Fruitport led 19 to 12. With the Trojans in foul trouble Montague shot 8 for 15 at the free throw line in the fourth q and got the game within 2 point till Ellie Fisher knocked down 2 free throw with less than 10 second left to seal the win. Fruitport was led by Andi Quasebarh with 7 points, Sydney Bol and Emily Dirkse added 6 points each with Taylor Burke adding 5 more. Fisher and Dirkse led the Trojans with 9 and 8 rebound respectively.
