Fruitport finished out their OK Black Conference schedule with a big win against Mona Shores 25-20, 27-25, 27-29, 18-25, 15-13. The Trojans took control in Game 1 and 2 but had to battle back from behind to beat the Sailors. Fruitport's offense was lead by Ellie Fisher who had 14 kills and 5 blocks, and Brooke Sieplinga who recorded 9 kills and 3 blocks. Jenna VanderVelde dished out 24 assists and 2 aces while her counter part Jessie Paquin had 23 assists and 4 aces. The defense was lead tonight by Kennady Dykstra who recorded 40 digs and Sydney Bol who recorded 32. The Trojans and Sailors tied for 2nd place in the OK Black both finishing 9-3 on the season. The Trojans face off next in the playoffs next Wednesday at Oakridge vs. the winner of Oakridge and Montague.
