The Knights started out strong and struck first with a goal by Keenan Laming, assisted by Jared Raisanen and Mikey York. With 5.5 seconds left in the first, Holt (Mid-Michigan Marauders) scored to tie it up. The game went scoreless in the second period. Third period was not successful for the Knights, with Holt scoring four unanswered goals, 1-5 final. The teams meet up again in two weeks at The Summit in Lansing.
