The Kenowa Hills/Fruitport/Fremont co-op team came out victorious over the Northview/Comstock Park/Sparta co-op team tonight at Griff's IceHouse in Grand Rapids. The Knights topped the Wildcats 3-1. The first goal of the game came at 15:29 in the first period with a rocket shot by Mathieu Hannahs (Fremont), with the assist by Will Braun (Fruitport) and Logan Granger (KHHS). The second goal came at 6:48 in the first with Brendan Deneen (Fruitport) lighting the lamp, with the assist by Granger and Hannahs. The second period brought Northview's only goal of the game, power play goal with 1:00 left on the clock. The Knights third and final goal came unassisted at 8:06 in the third period by Gabe Partridge (KHHS).
Knights take on Mattawan on Saturday at Walker Ice & Fitness Center.
