Fruitport defeated Reeths Puffer by a score of 4-1 to claim the district championship on Thursday night. Isaac VanderMolen started the scoring early as he converted a header off a Grade Anspach assist. Carter Gregor struck later in the half with a beautiful strike to extend the lead to 2-0. Fruitport extended the lead before the end of half as Hudson Hazekamp found Jorge Burgos Yack to push the lead to 3-0 heading into the half. In the second half, Burgos Yack found Gregor who scored his second goal of the game. 

Logan Werschem recorded the win in net and made 11 saves on the night. Fruitport improves to 19-0-1 on the season. 

Coach Hazekamp noted, "So proud of our boys. To be able to win on our home field and have the community support through the district has been amazing. I am so happy for our community and program. We are looking forward to regionals!"
