Fruitport defeated visiting Hopkins by a score of 7-1 on Tuesday night in the opening round of OK Silver Tournament play. The Trojans started slow but picked up the pace as the game went. Jorge Burgos Yack and Carter Gregor paced the Trojans with two goals a piece while Sam Krueger, Davis Johnson, and Ryder Merkins added goals. Isaac Vandermolen chipped in three assists while Hudson Hazekamp and Burgos Yack also added assists on the night.
Logan Werschem recorded on save on the night for the Trojans who move to 15-0-1 on the season. Fruitport returns to action on Thursday as they host Godwin Heights in an OK Silver showdown.
