WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL: 3
Fruitport fell to visiting Western Michigan Christian by a score of 3-1 on Monday night in nonconference action. The Warriors took the lead early in the first half off a set piece to take a quick 1-0 lead. The Trojans answered back midway through the half as Jordan Gooding's hustle play resulted in a Trojan goal. WMC did not take long to find the scoreboard capitalizing on a corner kick a minute later to take the lead back. The Warriors added to their lead with seven minutes left in the half to take a 3-1 lead. Fruitport had chances in the second half but was unable to find the back of the net.
Justin Laus had 12 saves in net for the Trojans who fall to 3-1 on the season. The Trojans open conference play at home on Wednesday as they square off againat Mona Shores in an OK Black tilt.
