NORTH MUSKEGON HIGH SCHOOL: 1
Fruitport defeated visiting Nroth Muskegon by a score of 5-1 in non conference action on Thursday night. The Trojans started quick as Cody Mayette found Carter Golden three minutes into the action to take a 1-0 lead. The score remained 1-0 heading into the half. The Trojans started the second half fast as Jackson Rebone found Ryan Laus 30 seconds into the half to take a 2-0 lead. Mayette struck four minutes later to push the lead to 3-0 and Brock Veltman added a goal at the 25 minute mark to extend the lead to 4-0. Ryan Laus added an insurance goal off an assist from Golden to push the lead to 5-0. The Norse scored late to get on the board.
Fruitport out shot North Muskegon 21-5 and Justin Laus had five saves in the net for the Trojans who improve to 1-1 on the season.,
Fruitport is off until Monday when they will host Allendale.
