Fruitport went on the road and tied Unity Christian 0-0 in OK Blue action on Wednesday night. The Trojans were paced by outstanding play in the back from Henry Swartz, Blake Hronek, Jaxon Deneen, Jackson Smith Upson and Christian Swiatek. Justin Laus had a phenomenal night in net for the Trojans as he made 18 saves.
Fruitport coach Dan Hazekamp was proud of his team's effort against a really solid Unity team noting, "I thought our guys fought really hard tonight against a traditionally great program. We encountered adversity and continued to push through to earn a result. I'm really proud of the effort and contributions of all my guys. This ia a great game to learn from as we continue to navigate a tough schedule."
Fruitport returns to action against Orchard View at home on Saturday.
