Fruitport tied with visiting Coopersville 2-2 in an OK Blue contest on Monday night, The Trojans trailed 2-0 after the first half but came out inspired in the second half and scored two goals to leave with the tie. Henry Swartz found the net with 22 minutes remaining in the second half to cut the Bronco lead to 2-1. With two minutes remaining, Swartz found Ryan Laus who headed the ball home to tie the game. Coach Hazekamp credited Blake Hronek, Bode Anspach and Jaxon Deneen with standout efforts.
Justin Laus had 12 saves in net for the Trojans who now sit at 3-1-2 and 1-1-2 in the OK Blue. The Trojans travel to Spring Lake on Wednesday for another Ok Blue showdown.
