Fruitport defeated host Hamilton 3-0 in OK Blue soccer action on Wednesday night. The Trojans got on the board early in the first half as Jorge Burgos-Yack struck from the outside to take a 1-0 lead. Caleb Slager found the net off a Brady Brown assist to increase the Trojan lead to 2-0 before the half. In the second half Brady Brown added an insurance goal off a Jackson Rebone assist to close out the scoring.
Justin Laus had four saves for the Trojans who outshot the Hawkeyes 20-4. Coach Hazekamp credited a complete team effort for a solid win or the Trojans. Fruitport returns to action on Wednesday as they host Holland Christian.
