Fruitport defeated West Michigan Aviation Academy by a score of 2-0 in nonconference action on Monday night.  The Trojans controlled play throughout the first half but were unable to find the net.  In the second half, The Trojans jumped out in front as Brady Brown raced up the sideline, crossed a ball, and Davis Johnson headed it home to take a 1-0 lead.  Brown was at it later in the half as he slotted a ball home to Taylen Acocks who beat the keeper and found the net to push the lead to 2-0.  

Fruitport outshot WMAA 16-4 on the night and Logan Werschem recorded four saves and earned the shutout in net.  

Coach Hazekamp credited the backline of Sam Krueger, Braxton Ward, Brady Brown and Isaiah Packard with tremendous play in the back. Hazekamp also credited Jaxon Stone for solid play in the midfield. 

Fruitport improves to 4-0 on the season. The Trojans travel to Whitehall on Wednesday for a nonconference tilt.
